Serving at the Good Shepherd Alliance

Fall can be a busy time of year with school starting, work picking up, holidays coming and going. Even in the midst of all of that, there were two dozen volunteers that took time to head over to the Good Shepherd Alliance’s women’s and children’s shelter to serve at various times the women and children there. We provided meals for them, an activity and game, and spent time in fellowship. We were also able to help renovate their basement that had water damage so that another family could move in. God used each person who made themselves available to be used by Him – whether it was cooking the meal, holding a baby, conversing with the women, working on the craft project, playing basketball with the children, pulling up the linoleum floor, replacing light bulbs, painting the walls. It was a blessing to see each person with a servant’s heart, with Christ’s heart. May He continue to use us as the body of Christ to serve and share the love of Christ with others!
