Angel Tree 2008

Did you finish your Christmas shopping? The MBC Loudoun congregation did! …for this year’s Angel Tree. We partnered with three organizations, Salvation Army, Good Shepherd Alliance and Wounded in Action, to share the love of Christ with those in need during the Christmas season. Our congregation donated Christmas gifts to about 300 children and soldiers – that is the equivalent of one gift per child in MBC Loudoun’s Kid’s Quest! Christmas gifts including bikes, clothes, games, iPods, were given to children, and over $3000 in gift cards were given to parents in need and wounded soldiers. Some children even wrote personal notes to the child’s name written on their ornament and attached it to their gift. Thank you for being a blessing! May we continue to remember what this season is all about and remember those who are in need. We pray each of those on the receiving end experience Christ’s love.

This is why Christ was born… because God so loved the world!
