Serving Springboard

Have you thought about serving @ MBC Loudoun?  Don’t have time?  Don’t know your gifts? Don’t know where to start?  Here’s an idea…

Why don’t you try serving with the Sunday ministry teams.  We have led the Welcome Center, one of the ministry teams, over the past year and have been blessed by serving along side of wonderful believers, many of whom have never served before.  Because of the need and their desire to be obedient to Christ, these believers began to take that first step and serve with us.  People stepping up to serve is great, but what really thrills our soul is that serving at the Welcome Center has become a springboard to new ministries with new leaders.  Within the year we have had members of our Welcome Center team follow the Lord and take on the leadership of other ministries: housewarming baskets, dinner groups, homeless outreach and Mom’s outings.  Serving once a month at the Welcome Center gave these leaders the confidence and desire to begin ministries in areas where they felt the Lord calling them.  God is good, and He is always looking for that willing heart to say, “Yes, Lord, here am I.”  If you are not already serving in an area at MBC Loudoun, may we suggest volunteering in a place on a ministry team (welcome center, parking, greeting, ushers, set up, tellers, connect room, communion, coffee fellowship).  It may not be your final destination, but the Lord can use it as a springboard in showing you where He wants you to be.
