Marvin Haines is the Network Services Manager at MBC Loudoun

How long have you been with MBC?
I started working at MBC in May of 2001. I saw an ad in the bulletin for a Network Support Technician job and being as it was my senior year in college I applied for the job. The rest is history!

What brought you here?
Growing up my life revolved around church. My parents were always doing things at church and my wife Michelle’s dad is a pastor at the church we attended in Roanoke, VA. I have always had a passion for the church and just naturally seemed to be drawn to the church.

How did you accept Christ?
I accepted Christ when I was very young. Our family was very active in our church and during a missions conference when I was in second grade I accepted Christ.

What are some of your favorite learnings or growth moments in your walk with Christ?
Wow…where to start with this question. I feel like I am learning everyday. It is hard to pinpoint my favorite learning but I would have to say that during my college years God really moved in my heart to help me to stay pure and live a life of integrity. There was a few very touch months in college but with great friends and a wonderful family God brought me through it all.

What has God been teaching you recently?
This is one simple answer…faith. My personality is such that I love to take matters into my own hands to make something happen. I feel like God always tests my faith and make me depend on Him more and more each day.
