A recent survey of 15,173 non-religious, unchurched people by LifeWay Research uncovered some interesting finds.

1. What are the top two ways people are most willing to “receive information” about Jesus?

• #1 – Personal conversation with a family member
• #2 – Personal conversation with a friend or neighbor

If you have family members who are not believers, be encouraged. 2 out of 3 people would be most likely to receive information about Jesus from a family member.

2. What are the top two ways people are most likely to visit church?

• #1 – Personal invitation from a family member
• #2 – Personal invitation from a friend or neighbor

Out of 13 approaches tested, personal invitations from family members or friends is the only method that a majority of Americans say would effectively draw them to church.

3. To what type of church is someone most willing to accept an invitation?

• A non-denominational church
• About 2 out of 3 unchurched people say they will come to church if invited.

Conclusion: MBC Loudoun is the type of church to which people are most likely to accept an invitation to attend. They are most likely to come if invited by YOU, their relative, friend or neighbor. And they are most likely to receive information about Jesus from YOU, their relative, friend or neighbor.
