Buckle Up For The Ride!

by Jim Supp, Campus Pastor @ MBC Loudoun
So how are you feeling about the Unexpected Adventure? I hope you are excited. We launch this Sunday – just 4 days away.
My guess is that some folks have already begun to think about people who they ‘should’ be talking to about Jesus, but to this point really haven’t. I have some people on that list myself. And truthfully, I don’t have any greater clarity on how in the world some of those doors are going to open. I guess maybe that’s the ‘unexpected’ part of the Unexpected Adventure.
I certainly have begun to see my eyes open in new ways as I am moving around town, just doing errands and things, to doors God may be interested in opening. I do feel a sense of anticipation because I believe so strongly that God is leading us to do this.
I have been significantly blessed by what has happened so far, and we haven’t even technically begun. The simple fact that we have distributed 800 books is incredible. And then to see the look of ‘buy in’ on peoples’ faces as I speak each week from the stage. I am convinced that people in our body really want to see others come to faith in Jesus, but life coupled with a touch of anxiety about the prospect of talking about spiritual things tends to get in the way.
I ask you to join me in daily prayer starting now and continue through the adventure – that God would show up in mighty ways and that we can’t imagine. Pray that Ephesians 3:20 – God’s doing beyond what we could ask or imagine – becomes a reality in the life of our church family. Buckle up!
I'm very excited to see what God will do through this initiative in our backyard of Loudoun County.
