It was a powerful Halloween in Loudoun County this fall as our congregation distributed 8,000 cards to trick-or-treaters sharing with them about the best treat of all – knowing Jesus.

It is a joy impacting Loudoun with such a dedicated congregation. Jim Percherke e-mailed us during the Halloween rush:

“I wish I took more cards, I am almost out and have handed out my 50. It is really cool to say a prayer as you hand out candy and this card hoping and praying that a family will come to church. Thanks for doing this.”

Our pastor, Jim Supp, sat on his porch on Halloween evening and prayed for the recipients of the 8000 cards that are being discovered by families all over the county.

Thanks to each of you for praying for your neighborhood in particular. We pray that God uses this little cards in a mighty way to impact Loudoun for His glory.

Did you hear those words Pastor Jim Supp shared before the congregation the past two Sundays? Whether you celebrate Halloween or not, you cannot get around the fact that this is the one day of the year where all of your neighbors and their children will voluntarily come to your door! You can do two things with that. You can turn out the lights, lock the door, and hide in the basement while you try to reamin “holy” OR you can engage each one of those souls by something as simple as handing them a card along with some candy, and make an impact on secular Washington D.C. with the message of Jesus Christ.

Be genuine. Be a true neighbor, one who truly cares about the present life and eternal destination of these people. Go on, Shine your light!
